“help out, dude” – Luke 12:6-7

“Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.” (See Luke 12:6-7) To say we are God’s favorite creation is like saying banana pudding is awesome. Duh! Clearly it’s awesome and so are we. However, many people at many times like to play un-awesome and forsake their own Creator. And they do it for a number of reasons, none of them any good. God makes sure the sparrows are fed. That they are taken care of. Why is that? Well, for one reason, they rely on Him. They aren’t privy to the devil’s kooky brainwash tactics. They just know God’s got it covered. We, humans, on the other hand, are all jacked up and half the time don’t know our left from right. Society has beaten us down. Made us think God is absent. But, behold, He is still here! As always. He hasn’t forgotten a single one of us. Some may point to the starving man living in a box in the alley. I’d then point to the round man living in a penthouse in the high-rise. God wants us to help each other out. He’s hasn’t taken anything. He’s given us each other. We just need to get that through our thick skulls.
